Ectomorph

THE ECTOMORPH

 

We recognize the ectomorph by his physique which is generally lean.  People who belong to this metabolic type are nervous in nature, therefore their metabolisms are fast so they spend a very large amount of calories.  They are the most disadvantaged in terms of bodybuilding because they have great difficulty gaining weight even if they eat a lot.  

TRAITS THAT PHYSICALLY AND PSYCHOLOGICALLY CHARACTER AN ECTOMORPH:

 

  • Skinny (too?)

  • Slender

  • Light musculature

  • Fine bone structure

  • Low body fat percentage (even without exercising or dieting)

  • Small shoulders, chest and buttocks

  • Long arms and long legs

  • Difficult to gain weight

  • Fast and efficient metabolism

  • Hyperactive

  • Difficult to build muscle mass

BENEFITS OF BEING ECTOMORPHIC:

 

* The ectomorph can eat a lot without gaining fat mass * He is very flexible * Thanks to his dry nature, losing weight or fat is not a problem A diet in line with his metabolism will increase his athletic performance  

CONS:

 

* Fragile joints * Difficulty gaining weight * Very limited recovery * Sensitivity to overtraining * His body is more adapted to basic training (poly-articular)  

ADVICE IN TERMS  NUTRITION  FOR THE ECTOMORPH

 

Ectomorphs need to eat more loaded foods and a high calorie intake.
